JASPAR was established to enable standardization of electronic control systems and software of in-vehicle networks, thereby allowing industry-wide
common implementation, more efficient development, and increased reliability.

Participants are mostly engineers from the automotive industry which include car manufacturers, electrical equipment suppliers, semiconductor/component manufacturers, software/tool vendors, trading companies, carriers, and university/research institutes that are responsible for development of in-vehicle networks, related software, and cybersecurity for the Japan and overseas markets.

How is the relationship between AUTOSAR and JASPAR?

Many members of JasPar are partners of AUTOSAR and vice versa. These companies form the link and transfer the spirit of the cooperation. JASPAR is concentrating on exploitation of various technologies and aspects required for mobility, using AUTOSAR standards. Also, JASPAR proposes changes and new concepts to the AUTOSAR standards, based on their knowledge and experiences on exploitation. Within JASPAR, a working group (called AUTOSAR Standardization WG) has been established that acts as a bridge function towards AUTOSAR. Since the agreement between JASPAR and AUTOSAR in 2022, JASPAR joined AUTOSAR as an Attendee Partner, and their representative experts have joined standardization activities in AUTOSAR WGs.
