AUTOSAR™ and JASPAR have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to enhance many years of successful collaboration, further expand synergies between the two organizations, and drive standardization in the field of Automotive and Future Intelligent Mobility. This joint technical collaboration between AUTOSAR and JASPAR is intended to coordinate common requirements and developments.
“JASPAR joins the AUTOSAR Development Cooperation as AUTOSAR Attendee and will appoint delegates to participate in AUTOSAR Working Groups for future proposals from JASPAR. The planned AUTOSAR regional hub in Japan will allow for a greater alignment of activities with the local environment in Japan and will make it easier for JASPAR representatives as well as those of AUTOSAR partners in Japan with their respective contributions to the globally relevant standardization in AUTOSAR. The respective contributions made by representatives of JASPAR and those of AUTOSAR partners in Japan will allow us to better contribute regional requirements into international standardization,” said Hiroshi Hashimoto, Chairperson of JASPAR Steering Committee.
“AUTOSAR warmly welcomes working with JASPAR as AUTOSAR Attendee. This will allow us to take advantage of the prominent position of JASPAR in the Japanese automotive industry to strengthen the regional awareness of the joint effort. With Jaspar’s support, we were able to appoint our regional spokesperson in Japan and we intend to establish a Japanese representation to facilitate substantive cooperation and to improve communication,” said Rinat Asmus, Chairperson of AUTOSAR.
Both parties have agreed to coordinate standardization activities and to harmonize development outcomes. In the spirit of the MoU, both parties aim to strengthen the Automotive Development Ecosystem through this collaborative liaison and to encourage their members to participate in this ongoing collaboration.
AUTOSAR and JASPAR will participate in each other's events to make joint or individual development and standardization results available to a broader audience. As a first step, JASPAR will participate in the 13th AUTOSAR Open Conference on May 11th, 2022.
