Automotive Software Solutions will be presented by AUTOSAR experts in March 2020 in Lisbon

With the motto “Addressing automotive software challenges with AUTOSAR”, up to 300 participants are expected to join the 12th AUTOSAR Open Conference on March 3rd and 4th, 2020 in Lisbon, Portugal.

As the integration of state-of-the-art software and new applications for autonomous driving vehicles continuous, the communication between different platforms including safety and security aspects play a crucial and important role in the development process of automotive software.

AUTOSAR focuses on standardization with the goal of reliability, scalability and maintainability by developing common specifications, architecture and methodology for dependable automotive systems. It pursues the objective of creating and establishing an open and standardized system architecture for automotive electronic control units (ECUs). Founded in 2003, the AUTOSAR development partnership is a strong community with more than 270 leading companies from automotive, electronics, semiconductor and software industries.

AUTOSAR partners recognize the value of collaboration to develop long-term, scalable system solutions for the global automotive industry. Therefore, AUTOSAR hosts the 12th AUTOSAR Open Conference on March 4th and a preparational AUTOSAR Day including technical sessions, a World Café and a networking reception on March 3rd, 2020 at the NOVA School of Business and Administration in Lisbon, Portugal.

This year’s Open Conference will focus on the application of the AUTOSAR Platforms with go live examples, the communication and interconnectivity between the AUTOSAR Platforms as well as safety and security aspects. Moreover, AUTOSAR will present its latest updates of the Classic and Adaptive Platform, which were published in a joint release in November 2019. The specification and code implementation can be used royalty-free by AUTOSAR partners all over the world. Additional to the conference, AUTOSAR offers an AUTOSAR Day on March 3rd, 2020 which includes lecture sessions in the morning and a World Café with hands-on sessions and round table discussions / presentations about different topics discussed within AUTOSAR in the afternoon. AUTOSAR experts will present specialized technical topics from the Classic and Adaptive Platform to interested participants. They can answer dedicated questions of the participants and offer them an open, technical exchange about the application of the AUTOSAR Platforms.

The annual AOC provides a holistic overview of the AUTOSAR standards, in addition to recent developments, long term planning and organizational changes. The agenda is complemented by presentations from AUTOSAR partners.
